Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of implementing explicite-reflective NOS activity on thinking skills of students in junior high school.
This research was a quasi-experimental design and the population was junior high school students in 8th grade in SMP N 1 Prambanan dan SMP 2 Moyudan. Three classes were selected as the experimental class. The group 1 which was assigned as the experimental group was instructed through kurikulum 2013 embeded by explicite-reflective NOS activity, while the other groups (group 2 and 3) were instructed through instruction which is commonly used in Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (exploration, elaboration, confirmation) and Kurikulum 2013 (scientific method). The research data were collected by giving pretest and postest then analysed using anava mixed design.
The result showed that students who were instructed through explicite-reflective NOS activity achieved higher thinking skills score than the others.
