Abstract

The availability of spatial open datasource is increasing in line with the development of open data. Google Earth as a provider of high resolution satellite data that is opensource can actually be utilized in a way to support the development planning and data management of spatial information of a region. With the existence of regional autonomy that has reached to the village level, then Village should independently have the spatial information related to various resources in development planning independently.
This paper discusses the method of using Google Earth open source data for spatial data management of regional resources to increase the potential of villages so that be able to independently manage their resources. The research location was conducted in Cibodas village, sub district of Lembang, West Bandung regency.
From the spatial data interpretation Google earth can be mapped in detail for settlements, land use, transportation network, river network, and potential hazard. Then data processed by GIS technology to increase the value of information by integrating social data, economics, education. The resulting spatial information is very useful for Cibodas Village, Sub district of Lembang in the planning and management of development independently.
