KRYLOV SUBSPACE METHODS FOR MODEL ORDER REDUCTION OF NONLINEAR SECOND ORDER SYSTEMS Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada Abstract In this paper, we will discuss the model order reduction of the nonlinear second order system which can be reformulated into the bilinear system. First, it discussed about how to present a nonlinear second order systems into a bilinear system. Then, model order reduction is done by using Krylov subspace method. After that, the reduced bilinear system is presented back into a nonlinear second order system which the order less than the order of the original system. Simulation results show that the reduced bilinear systems have properties similar to the original system.
