Exploring the Individual Behavior: Why the Pre-Service Mathematics Teachers to Do Truth-Seeking in Solving the Problems? (a) Department of Mathematics Education, University of Jember Abstract The individual behavior of someone who has a critical disposition in responding the problems affects them to do truth-seeking. However, no research has examined the behavior of pre-service mathematics teachers who are effects them to do truth-seeking. So the research aims to explore the individual behavior of pre-service mathematics teachers who influence them to do truth-seeking in solving mathematical problems. Research participants were three pre-service mathematics teachers who did the truth-seeking and were able to communicate fluently when doing think-aloud. This research was a qualitative descriptive research with research stages that were (1) giving two mathematical problems and ask to do think-aloud, (2) recording participants behavior when solving problem, (3) analyzing the result of answer, think-aloud, and recording, (4) doing triangulation by interview, and (5) summarizing the results of triangulation and analysis. Individual behavior that affects pre-service mathematics teachers to do truth-seeking that are (1) experience about problems and characteristic of teachers who are giving problems, (2) belief in answer problems, (3) perception to problems, and (4) understanding of the problems. So there are three individual behaviors of pre-service mathematics teachers who affect them to do truth-seeking are individual attitudes, subjective norms, and behavioral control.
