Experimentation on two stay two stray using peer tutoring to improve mathematics achievement motivation of senior high school students on trygonometry topic

Abstract

The objective of this research is to know the effect of cooperative learning model on the learning achievement viewed from the achievement motivation of the students. The leaarning models compared were two stay two stray (TSTS) with peer tutor, TSTS and direct learning (DL). We do quasi experimental research which the population is all senior high school students in Tulungagung city. We took the sample using stratified random sampling technique while test and questionnaire were used to collect the data. The hypotesis was tested using two ways analysis of variance with unbalanced cells. From the research, we found that student taught TSTS with peer tutoring showing a best on mathematics achievement and achievement motivation. There is also an interaction between learning model and achievement motivation
